Herpes disease can be carried from one person to another via direct contact. This means that it is transmitted through saliva or genital secretions from one herpes-infected individual to another who is free from infection. It chooses no age and race. Therefore the only way you can get away from a herpes infection is to stay away from people and environments bearing the
infectious virus.
There are two types of Herpes simplex: type 1 and type 2. Type 1 herpes simplex infects the face and type 2 infects the genitals (also called genital herpes). Herpes-infected people could still be inoculated. However it would be so much simpler to abide by the old adage "An ounce of prevention is worth more than a
pound of cure." Herpes can be traumatic.
