A recent study proves that adolescent girls are most likely the victims of Herpes infection. 100 girls, whose age range is 14-18, were physically examined through blood and genital specimen testing. The result shows that 59.6% of these young women are HSV 1 positive, whereas 13.5% are HSV2 positive. They also conducted a follow up test and it showed that four of the participants have contracted HSV 1. This study must be a warning to all adolescent girls that they are the frequent victims of Herpes.
