The mice, which were injected with herpes virus, were exposed with known stress-causing factors like change of atmosphere and change of partners. The social ladder of the rodents were altered, requiring the petty critters to cope up with their "new environment". It showed that most of the infected mice have developed symptoms after the exposure to the new habitat. Their body reacts towards the habitat awkwardly, therefore, worsening their sickness.
